In the game, one player turns over a category card and names 3 items from that category. After each player has written these items in the left column of their answer sheet, a second category card is revealed. All players then have one-and-a-half minutes to find Common Ground. The player with the highest score advances. During the game, players use strategic option cards to challenge their opponents and advance along the board toward victory, but get ready for exciting instant verbal competition that occurs whenever you land on an opponent’s space!

This game is so much fun! I whipped it out at a recent family party, and everyone enjoyed it. Even kids as young as 10 years old played, and they didn’t have any trouble keeping up…in fact, one of them used the word CALDERA, and a few of the adults weren’t sure what it meant. He told us he knew about calderas from the Weekly Reader. My daughter and I played a few rounds, just the two of us, and it was just as much fun. Some of the crazy words that come up in this game are hilarious! It’s fun, it’s educational, and it’s a great party game. 5/5 *As a crossword puzzle constructor, I’ve also used the categories to come up with ideas for crossword puzzles. So, thanks for that!
