Board Games – Hardly Old-fashioned

With sizable growth over the last 4 years, and sales of $2.2 billion recorded in 2011, board games are very much alive and kicking! While they may seem “old school” in comparison to the onslaught of mobile games like Angry Birds and Bejeweled Blitz, the staying power of board games can likely be attributed to how they provide a far more real social experience. Common Ground is betting that board games will remain popular in the years ahead, mainly because of the human-interaction component associated with them. Nothing beats sharing a smile, a group laugh or the enthusiasm of live, friendly competition. We are anxiously awaiting the board game version coming off the assembly line at a facility in Michigan  near the end of this month. It is our firm hope that our board game will provide hours of quality playtime for you, your family and your friends – together in one place! Amazingly, the board game’s core challenge has been readily adapted to a free app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and we see that as an ideal companion when a real game isn’t convenient. Using your wits during friendly competition will never go out of style, and no matter what version you choose, you’ll always enjoy finding Common Ground!   — “CG Daddy”
